It should prove interesting to see how The Last of Us continues to utilize Sarah's presence and Parker's impression of the character long after her death. With episode 1 staying faithful to the games - even adapting some scenes shot-for-shot, including Sarah's death - the adaptation seems like it will follow through with exploring Joel and Ellie's father-daughter relationship from the games while using Sarah's death as the backbone.
